Step # 12

• Remove piston and connecting rod

  Turn the crankshaft to get access to the connecting rod. Push the piston out of the top of the cylinder. Mark the orientation of the top, middle and bottom ring gap on the piston with a T, M. and B respectively. Pull the crankshaft out of the engine block.
